Are you ready for you first harvest that you can receive in just 12 weeks? Let us find out what you need for growing weed indoors.
– Grow tent, or other designated space
– Cannabis seeds
– Soil and nutrients
– Instruments for measuring the humidity and temperature
If you do not want your house to be under suspicion, you can start with a small grow tent in your closet. The sizes are different, so feel free to choose the most appropriate one. For this guide, we have chosen tents with reflective sides inside to get the most from the lights we will use. Besides, they are thick enough to keep the light out, giving the plants some time for rest.
Seeds: the first step of growing weed indoors
Any process has a key point, right? In our case, if we do not have seeds, we will not get any plants as they will never grow out of nothing. Spend around $10 or more per seed, and you will have a nice harvest from these little babies. Warning: buy only those seeds that look like they have tiger stripes on them.
Light and timer
As soon as you noticed that your seeds have sprouted, let them keep growing inside the pellet but let the light fall on them. After the plants become three and a half weeks old, make sure they get light for 18 hours and rest from it for 6 hours. That is when you need to attach the light timer. Afterward, you can give your plants equal amounts of light and darkness (12 hours each). It will cause the flowering of the plant.
Light always means heat generation. Cannabis likes warm temperature but within limits. Too much heat can just burn the plant. That is why it is important to use an indoor grow system of controlling the air temperature. To simplify the process, you can buy an all-in-one tent that already has all the necessary systems installed.
Indoor marijuana growing is not possible without pots. As soon as you have noticed that the roots start pushing the sides of the pellet, run to the store and buy pots. You do not need to get rid of the pellet, just place it in the pot and fill with fresh soil.
Soil and nutrients
When choosing the soil, you need to keep in mind that you are growing marijuana for humans, so keep away from junk. Choose only natural soil that will not just give you healthy marijuana, but also give it a delicious flavor.
