Cannabutter Ratio

Cannabutter Ratio

For patients who use marijuana as a treatment for different diseases, a really strong marijuana edible is the only thing that effectively and quickly provides the necessary pain relief. As you know, all edibles require cannabutter, and the more potent the cannabutter is, the stronger the edibles will be. Today, you may find dozens of marijuana edibles recipes, but there is no “right way” of making them. The only difference between all recipes is the cannabutter ratio.

Why people prefer making cannabutter as potent as possible

People who suffer from pain have a really high tolerance, so when they are eating edibles, they hope for pain relief. Weak cannabutter provides only the feeling of relaxation. You should know that if the potency of your cannabutter is too high for you, you can reduce it anytime using regular butter for your recipes, but you can never add potency to the butter after it is made. Here is a recipe for extremely strong cannabutter that will work best for your tolerance level and desires.

Step 1—Preparation

For this recipe, you will need only three ingredients: trim (or dried buds if you do not have access to marijuana trim), high-quality butter, and water. You should also find a big pot to boil all the ingredients in and a cookie sheet to decarb your marijuana. Take into account that this method produces a lot of odor, so to avoid the smell of weed, use a crackpot.

Step 2—Decarboxylation

To get the most out of your cannabis, you need to decarb your buds. For that, place cannabis in the oven at a temperature not higher than 260 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.

Step 3—Mixing and boiling

Once your cannabis is prepped, take a pot and make sure it is 1/3 full of your weed. Then add a cup of butter for every four cups of fresh water until the pot is 80% full. Let the mixture boil for at least four hours. Do not forget to add water from time to time.

Step 4—Straining and storing

Once the mixture cools down a bit, strain it into a container. Leave it so for half an hour to cool off completely, then place it in the refrigerator overnight. Next morning, your cannabutter will be ready for use!
